WooWooWoo Vacuum problem resolved
Ok, so i have been having idle issues out the wazooli since i removed all the extra BS mazda put on these motors. Fixed everything under the sun that i could think of that was fairly cheap (sensors, plugs, etc.)
Well i found the dirty bastard of a culprit today- 1st culprit, one of the vacuum caps I put on the Intercooler had a slit in it, this would explain why my car "whistled while it worked" 2nd, The plate i mades for the ACV, it has a little ear on the top that covers a pretty strong source of vacuum, it was bent out a bit causing A WHOLE LOT OF TROUBLE....little bastard! Now my boost is back to about 7.5 psi (right where i want it since i haven't got the FCD yet) She idles, not perfect, i think another plate may have the same problem just not as bad- I guess i should have replaced the blade on my bandsaw the first time it hung up- New plates on the way anyway! WOOWOOWOO Feels good to have some victory- |
Oops..Wrong thread. COngrats man.

Interesting.
A good example of how a little thing like the condition of a saw blade results in a big annoying problem. More proof of how important it is to approach car work in a conservative, methodical way while following the kinds of irritating rules we didn't want to learn in Shop Class, like keeping your tools clean and organized. Thanks for sharing. |
The whistles go WOOOO WOOOOO
