Wiring (Over my head)

6 Attachment(s)
So I finally got the routing figured out but I have to fix the injectors still (I thought the two branches were primary and secondary, not front rotor and rear). The only thing I have left are these connections. I'm using the n/a harness on my TII JDM engine and I cant figure out where these go. Thanks guys. I'm finally almost done!

Pic 1: Connection on the rear of the engine
Pic 2: Mystery vacuum line
Pic 3: Mystery vacuum line on the UIM
Pic 4: 2 connections (Not sure if they're routed right)
Pic 5: I believe is the knock sensor. (Not using it anyway, if it is)
Pic 6: Are these solenoids in the correct order?

1. not used on jdm intake manifolds
5. knock sensor

Pic 8: 2 mystery harness connectors (The white one was connected to my ACV on the n/a. Not sure where it goes now)

3. Goes to boost sensor.

The one in pic #4 with the brown and green wires (top one in the pic) is to the IAT sensor (the thing with 2 prongs sticking out on the throttle body elbow).

One is the air supply valve. The EM harness should have a mating plug for it on a USA car/harness.

Two is for the EGR on a USA model.

Three is for the *BOV* or air bypass valve in Mazda speak. (The boost sensor outlet is on the ACV).

Four ...the upper plug is for the air intake temp sensor that should be screwed intop the intake duct on the throttle body.

Five is knock sensor on a USA.

The *second* plug in picture four is??? a mystery. It looks like the alternator plug. That branck of that harness does not belong where you have it. MOVE it.

The solenoids. The most fwd one should be the Twin Scroll and it should be GREEN. The next one should be GREY, the one after should be ORANGE and the last one BLUE. They should be configured just like the ones in my picture i.e. the vacuum hoses should be placed on the solenoids as in the jpg. The hose have the ability to be moved around on the solenoid by removing the small filter and putting the hose there and the filter where the hose was. Yeah, that makes not much sense but that's how the cow chews the cabbage.

You have one solenoid missing. The EGR .

If that plug in jpg four is not for the ALT, then it might go to the air supply valve in the first picture. WIRE COLORS COULD CLEAR THIS UP. NO WIRE COLORS RESULT IN ...GUESSING.

HAILERS 12-09-08 06:37 PM

All the solenoids seem to be in the wrong places. BLUE is RELIEF......GREY is SWITCHING........ORANGE is FPR........GREEN is TWIN TURBO..........YELLOW is EGR.

Any words of wisdom on pics 7/8/9?

Seven IS the alternator plug. Black/white and white/black wires.

Eight MIGHT be the plug for either the Switching or Port Air solenoid on the ACV. One of those plugs is black and the other white. No wire colors RESULTS IN GUESSING.

Nine....I'm not sure what I'm looking at. There is a metal line for the PURGE system that runs in that area, but that line looks a little small for that. I'm unsure about that one. Does it travel over to the other side of the engine near the turbo inlet duct?

TongassT 12-09-08 08:38 PM

Thanks Hailers for correcting me on #3 (I removed my ACV and forgot the original use). The black plug in #8 LOOKS like it goes to the temperature sensor on the coolant neck, used for models that had a factory electic fan. If you don't have one, don't worry about it and leave it disconnected.

HAILERS 12-09-08 08:59 PM

Actually, I only noticed the white plug and missed the black, single socket plug altogether.

But back to the white plug two pin plug. There should be a Black one similar to that one in the same area. For the solenoids on the ACV. There will be one black/white wire on both of those plugs. The other wire color is in the FSM wiring diagrams.

So what do I do if I don't have a green connector since it's an N/A harness? Forgive my ignorance. Blizzard tonight. Hopefully my garage doesn't get snowed in before I get a chance to work on it in the morning.

from front of the car to back: nothing on first clip, grey, orange then blue.

that is how i hooked mine up with no problems.

Does this JDM engine have a twin scroll actuator? Or not.

I assume the piping on the engine is from the TURBO engine. IF so, then you need to put the right solenoids in the right places. They should go just like in the decal I posted in a post above.

For the twin scroll solenoid(the most fwd one on the rack), you have to lengthen the two wires from the Split Air solenoids plug on the n/a harness to reach the most fwd solenoid.

It's black/white and tan/yellow. That's the last connection I have left

The Finale!

Okay, I have a few things before I finish this bastard up and finally complete this 2 month pain in the ass project.

First, I realized that my engine did not come with an EGR valve, EGR solenoid, Air Bypass Valve or an Air Bypass solenoid which explained the connectors on the harness that didn't mate to anything. I have a stock replacement BOV coming in the mail and I'm told that the bypass solenoid isn't really needed, so I'm leaving it along with the EGR gone. I've got all everything lengthened that needed to be for the rest of the harness connectors. The only thing I have are the following pictures and I'll finally be ready to drop it in. I've used the FSM and forums for the rest, but these elude me.

Pic 10: I'm pretty sure 2 of these are for fuel. What is the 3rd for?
Pic 11: I believed I traced this to the other side of the engine, and it's the 3rd mystery line in pic 1.
Pic 12: WTF
Pic 13: Couldn't tell in the diagrams where this one went. The one above it is the line that runs between the primary injectors.

As far as pic 9 goes, I still don't know what it is. It looks throttle related. It does not travel over to the turbo inlet duct, as HAILERS had asked.

I believe this is all folks. Hopefully, I shouldn't need any more assistance getting this thing finally running. Thanks, all!!!

I guess it would help if I actually POSTED pics 10-13.

10.....the bottom two are the fuel in and the fuel return. The upper one is crankcase vent.

11 is also crankcase vent. It gets a hose on it and on the other end of the hose is a silver checkvalve that plugs into the rear side of the turbo inlet duct.

12 I'm GUESSING, because it's a JDM engine, that is where a fitting/nipple gets installed for the brake booster vacuum feed.

13 is another GUESS. IF that nipple is Larger than the one above it, I'd say it's for the OMP spider under the intake manifold. Feeds filtered air to the spider. Guessing.

9. Take another picture of it and describe it. Is it a hard line with a branch coming off it? or? Anyway, describe it and take another jpg from another angle.
