Wiring harness
I was wondering if the big part of the harness(the one that runs under the dash) will work on both na and t2. I know the other part of the harness needs to be changed.

They are different interior harnesses based on Series and in each series weither the car has ABS, Turbo, Base, Convertible, SRS, and Standard.

my car is a 88 GTU na with a 88 t2 motor(jspec). the person i am talking to has almost all the parts i need including the harnes. he has an 88 na GXL. will his work. i know it wont be perfecet but i do know the gxl comes with some stuff my car dose not have. so i will have some extra wires. my goal here is to get my car to run, if i dont i have to sell it. it is in my parents garage. so will this guys harness work. i already have a t2 harnes for the motor.

icemark where are you. lol
|
The non ABS 88 GXL will have the same harness as your car came with originally.
|
what if the gxl dose have abs. wont it still work....just have extra wires and stuff
|
Pin and wire colors will be different in some plugs. You may have to make minor pin/wire adjustments
|
i can do that. just wondering. how did you learn so much. i mean. have you done everything you can do to a 7. thanks again.

He learned by putting a turbo engine in a convertible (OJT), and accessing the factory service manual/wiring diagrams that come with it and read and understood what they said.
Plus he's a rabid/fanatical/obsessed person when it comes to RX7's. In other words he's a major part/player in the RX-7 CULT. Like he said *The RX7 is a cult car*. |
To be switching around wires and such its best to have the FSM. Its available for download @ www.fc3s.org
