HOZZMANRX7 08-09-12 08:18 PM

The last time I had a switch repaired, the work was done by forum member Pele. That was a couple years ago, and it's still working just fine.

PM him.

Arcane-Tweek 08-09-12 11:59 PM

I am an avid rain x user and i second this option. I rarely ever turn on my wipers.

devilxavierz 08-10-12 02:18 AM

Thank you for the sources! Pm'ed pele about rebuilding my wiper switch and idiot warning light, hopefully I will get a reply from him soon

devilxavierz 08-10-12 10:50 AM

That's his website, I see his rebuilt switches for sale on craigslist quite often as well. Looks like good quality work. Hope this helps.

Thankx for the links, never know when mine is going to blow. Plus never know when it's going to be crazy thick down pour here in Nc. Usually don't need it.

13B Etc 08-10-12 11:55 PM

Would be more than happy to rebuild your clock/warning light cluster and wiper switch. Or we have already-rebuilt units on hand if you'd like to have one shipped to you ready-to-go, and not have to be non-functional in the shipping interim. We refund you the core charge after you send your old unit(s) in.

We rebuild most anything electronic on an RX-7. Give me a shout via PM or through the website that jaydun323 linked to from two posts up. Thank you for the reference!

mikey1992 08-11-12 01:34 AM

Ok I just ordered both the headlight switch and wiper and idiot cluster.
Can't wait till they come in.
One question though do I send back the cores back in the same box?

Gregory Casimir 08-11-12 07:02 AM

I finally found a place that has all the parts for a rebuild! Does the rebuild kit come with instructions?

jaydun323 08-11-12 10:00 AM

Anytime 13BEtc,I'm just glad someone still rebuilds them. I've only ever seen one wiper switch fully function and it was rebuilt by you, keep up the great work.

I cant wait to have mine rebuilt....it was pouring outside while i was driving. I almost got into 2 accidents...

devilxavierz 08-22-12 02:45 AM

I have the relays. I just need someone to replace them for me with a reasonable charge......I don't feel like paying $100 for a switch..

w0ppe 08-22-12 09:00 AM

I'll be reopening up business for switches cometh the fall. I'll just need a bunch of relays and pretty much, my new workshoppe.

devilxavierz 08-22-12 11:54 AM

w0ppe, I know a local seller sell the wipers relays for cheap, pm me

w0ppe 08-24-12 02:17 AM

I know this is an old thread but do you still sell the relays to rebuild the wiper switch cause I would like to rebuild my own? Pm me please

13B Etc 05-27-13 12:28 PM

We sure do! PM sent

zukskywalker 05-29-13 07:47 PM

Bump for a good thread.
13B etc, I am also looking for wiper switch relays and looking to do the window switch relay upgrade.
(Weird thing also happens with my rear wiper switch. When set to intermittent that switch buzzes at the top of the wiper stroke, stalls, buzzes again for each wipe. Is there a relay inside the switch assembly?)

Horns out too...either relays or more likely just dirty switches.

I'll be needing some parts(86 GXL).

Thanks!
