Wiper Switch not what you think

okay so I rebuilt the wiper switch, everything is working great, except the wipers now park vertically! tried moving the arms that did not work. anyone know what's going on?
yes I searched, found a ton of info on them not parking, but nothing on them parking incorrectly.

to be clear, they are parking vertically and wiping down, not trying to go the correct direction.

So the only thing you did was rebuild the switch? Didn't touch anything else?

still seems to be wiping down, when the wipers are reset to the bottom they still try and go down.

so I had to move the actual arm on the wiper motor. now it seems to be working perfectly, other then int and high don't work again, according to the tests on fc3spro, the relay seems to be fine...

Did you do that before? I just find it odd that the parking would just flip.

no I didn't, so I have no idea, 3rd owner on the car, and the wipers were not parking, so I wonder if they "tried to fix it" like they did with other things.

but yeah the switch is now only working in low, but it parks, so I have another relay coming.

was working in all positions, went to bed, woke up flipped the arm, and then it only worked in Low again. /sigh

so I replaced the relay a second time, checked all the connections, all of which were fine, now it is only running on low, however it now runs the correct direction and parks, but Mist/INT/High are all non functional.

I rebuilt my wiper switch as well just as it seems you did. I am also stuck with operating only on low. I have not addressed the issue yet, however I done a bit deeper into the switch and feel I may not have replaced the dielectric grease on the contact points of the rotary switch.
My only other thought is that we both grabbed an incorrect relay.

Add for the wipers, it sounds like someone messed with them.
