windsheild washer spray nozzles
 

Yeah, I really hate the old crappy single streams. And on my car, the driverside' sprays straight into the bottom of the windsheild. Really annoying.

Is anyone aware of a vendor that has universal nozzles that spray in a fan, and not just a stream? I looked around, and couldn't find any. I don't want to buy any of those retarded LED one's like at kragen.

why don't you just re-adjust them. They are adjustable by using a small pin and re-pointing the spray tip

just because they have LEDs in them dont mean you have to wire them up

i relocated mine to the wiper blades!

got the nozzle from a mercedes sprinter van (like the one i drive @ work, that's where i got the idea from)
now the holes in the hood are being welded shut at the paintshop (car is out for a paintjob with my new GP-sports kit)

yup you can even buy a unviersal kit for the wiper arm location.

For the ones in the hood you can buy universal ones just about anywhere (Canadian tire has them, but that doesn't help you much :) ) Just look around, they're all over the place.

Or go rip some out of a junkyard special :dunno: just use your head

Anyone know of a good way to fix the lines under-hood if they split? One of mine broke after the y-split below the drivers side. Therefore... only one side sprays worth a shit.

I looked around, the only place I found was e-bay. But they're all "stream" sprayers.

My wife was driving around a 98 VW Jetta, and those sprayers actually sprayed a "fan" onto the windshield. It was quite effective. I was just wondering if anyone had seen a "universal" one like that, all the one's I find are vehicle specific, and use different shaped holes - I don't want to cut my hood just to end up fuckin' it all up and regretting it.

I did, on e-bay, see the one's that have three jets. I'll probably just go with those, but I still really liked the VW's.

Good idea with the wiper-mount, but I don't want to deal with cleaning up the holes in the hood. I don't have the money for a paint job just yet. But I'll keep that in mind, thanks.

Are you talking about the connector peices? My first guess would be ebay, lol. Try asking a glass shop or body shop. i've never actually had that problem on any vehicle I've ever owned, just on the plastic lines, always just ran screaming down to kragen.

you could try electric tape, or epoxy.

So just re-aim it. It's a two-minute job with a pin.

That would be pretty useless when you're actually driving (as opposed to being stationary), as the water spray would be broken up by the air stream. That's why no car has them...

what the hell are you talking about, almost all new cars have them

I'm talking about instead of spraying a straight stream at the windsheild, it comes out in a spread V form, flat, covering a wider part of the windshield, instead of puddling and relying on your wipers to smear it around.

I was just hoping they were out there. Apearently, not. i'll just use the three point nozzles I found on ebay. but thanx e'rybody!

Yeah, my moms 03 Toyota Camry has the stream spray, comes out in a V shape like you said. I really like it, it works great.

If you want something like that, go to a dealer that sells cars that have them fitted and buy them (or steal them off someone's new Camry). I'm sure they could be fitted with a bit of minor modification to either nozzle and/or hood.

I hate stealerships. Everything is way overpriced. I was hoping I'd find a "cheap knock off" or something. I've seen three, but instead of the round plug, which is the universal, they all slide and clip in - "vehicle specific". I really don't want to cut my hood.

Like I said, I'll probably go with the three point nozzles I found on ebay :3some:
