window weather strip
Not sure if its called differently, but its the black weatherstrip that is against the driver and passenger weather. I'm missing it on my driver side and my passenger side is starting to crack/flake.
Anyways I was wondering where can I buy it? or even what else it could be called? |
You can buy it new from Mazda or adapt one from another car to fit (mine is off an Acura Integra).
See here. |
Black dragon auto also carries it. The last time I looked, they where $199.99 and are made of solid plastic, which removes the cracking and flaking issue associated with the metal/plastic composite ones

if you get your hands on some poor condition ones wiht good seals, you can refinish them. I did this to mine and a year later still looking great.

call Malloy Mazda (look up on net) and order the beltline weather strip moulding From Ray in the parts department. CHeap as you'll find and great quality.

Seconded. I consider the $100-$150 it costs for a PAIR of these to be a great visual and maintenance item. Most people do not realize how much water these strips keep out of your car (unless your interior door panels are missing also...and they you probably know well...hahah).
Cold as hell this time of year also. |
