Window electric motor
My Rx-7 Convertable has a passenger side window that refuses to lower. In Arizona that is not a bad thing but I would like to fix it. Any thoughts on where I could pick up the correct part?

probably the regulator, or switch, rather than the motor. Mazda window motors are very bullet proof.
You should troubleshoot it and see before buying anything. |
do you have switch for it on drivers door as well as pass door??? do neither work??? found that my switches were sooty on contacts, cleaned off et voila as french may say....
to get switch gear out is fairly easy, remove door trims and pop switch units out after disconecting connectors. remove screws that clamp switch unit together and open carefully, similar to parts in ignition switches, bits may fall out so do it over newspaper say..... look at contacts and clean if necessary and reassemble. switch for turning off pass window may be inoperative on drivers door as well, found this a simple job, post or email if stuck. seymour |
My power windows just took a crap. The driver's side button for the passenger side window popped of yesterday, but if you set the button on it you could still move it up or down. I left it off and was going to fix it today, but now none of the windows will move. Should I try doing the same thing?
