Will An S5 window power switch in a S4??
WIll an S5 main window switch work when plugeed in to an S4?
I think they do, but they look different...
Yes, it works fine. I have S5 window switches in my 10th AE and have tested it.
It worked for me. I swapped them out at the time of my s5 Interior Installation In my 88.
Thanks. Now I know that I can purchase either one for my 88 vert.
yes they work but do not get any from other mazdas like 929 626 or milliniums. thay have different internals.
The S5 switch sits a little deeper in the door pocket, so you may have to gouge out some foam insulation for clearance to drop it in.
BTDT |
yea, but the s4 switches are more heavy duty. Thats why people use the s4 instead of the s5 switches. If you have the s4 switches then use them theyre better.
Yea, but the S5 switches are self cleaning & don't get carboned up.
you have a point there!! Speaking of which the driverside one needs to be cleaned.
Where to you go to buy these self cleaning switches? I have S-5 switches which I just recently cleaned. Can you direct me in the location to purchsase these self-cleaning wonders?
PEACE THE DOG |
I'm not an EE but as I understand it, there are two basic types of electrical contacts - touch & wipe.
The wipe type is self cleaning. S4 window switches are touch type and S5's are wipe type. Of course it dosen't hurt to clean any switch contact. |
They're all self cleaning!
Just clean them yourself! (sorry, was up too late last night...) :dunno: |
Hmmm..
