will s5 suspension bolt to s4 chassis?

heres my dilema, my s5 convertible is rusting out all over the place and the chassis has 160k miles on it. i know where i can get an s4 base for next to nothing, can i bolt everything good from the s5 to the s4? 5 lug brakes, suspension, lsd rear, subframes, running gear, will everything bolt up?( excluding the engine wiring) also all the exterior goodies that an s5 has(minus the vert tail lights) thanks

Its alot of work but yes it can be done!
The main hassle will be the engine, ecu and gauges

The running gear itself is fine.....

what about say taking struts , springs, and sway bars, from a s5 na to a 88and older t2? cuz while my car is running i want to beef up the suspension . but i might be buying a t2 in the future. and i would just swap over the stuff .. is that possible?

The rear subframe and suspension (coils, swaybar, and such) will swap, at least mine did from an s5 TII to my 88 gxl. The driveshaft may not fit though.
