will it fit ?

i want to switch from the crappy lucky 7 racing pulleys they suck just like lucky 7 does

anyway i have a set of pulleys from a 91 vert na will timing marks line up with my 87 tii

also will the ac system be swappable ?

just really hoping that this will work as the parts are on hand

hsilive 03-19-14 02:51 AM

Any ideas here motor is out for a rebuild need to start stocking up on parts !!

AGreen 03-19-14 04:44 AM

Yes, they will fit.

But the timing marks won't line up. If you're clever though, you can index the engine properly and make yourself some new timing marks. I'm sure the engine builder knows how to do that (If he's built engines other than rotary before)

Thanks I will find one that is original just to save him some work also any idea about the other pulleys and the ac system ?

AGreen 03-19-14 03:52 PM

They should all fit the same, just the timing marks are different if my memory is correct.

i can include a set of OEM pulleys timing matched to your engine if you want to ditch the other pulley set. i always check the engine timing now and stamp the hubs or replace the pulleys anyways. quite a few rebuilt engines don't have the original pulleys, and hence they were never timed properly so it bothered me enough to just add it to my rebuild practices for 2nd gens.

if this was a lucky7 rebuild they owe you a serious refund, even after an hour of run time the apex seals are unusable due to building the engine with shit-tastic rotor housings with previous seal damage. nor bothered to clean out the apex seal slots, which obviously did not pass spec since they were sticking in them, or clean out the coolant seal channels which were cramming my seal savers into the rotor housings. i can tell the damage was there because someone attempted to dremel the peaks off, but failed miserably because they were using like a fine etching point bit.

may as well of lit 20 $100 bills on fire, would have at least saved some energy and give you a few minutes worth of eccentricity.

i know i've said a lot to back Goopy but i never said they were infused with magic, waste of a set of $350 apex seals right there.

mother fucking fail

greed and ignorance hurts this community more than anything. while i feel sorry for some people i also can't work for free, and sympathy only helps so much.
