will this burn my engine?

i thought of this when i was cleaning my engine bay

if you remove the little plastic blockoff in front of and below the stock intake wouldnt that allow cold air from the area in front of the radiator to enter the intake, forming a CAI.

I am bringing this up because im concerned this could cause some problem that i cant think of (like reducing radiator flow too much, et cetera)..

thanks in advance

Your talking about the bottom radiator panel, right? If so then it would almost certianly cause cooling problems. It is there to make sure that the air goes into the radiator and not around it.

no, the little plastic piece that separates the space where the stock intake and overflow resovour from the space in front of the radator, its held on by little plastic pins

i DO NOT mean the undertray

Hmmm, I honestly can't think of what that part is.

the little snorkel thing?

Secondmessiah 09-13-06 09:06 PM

not the snorkel, if someone can find me a picture of the engine bay ill paint circle it

its the little plastic angled piece that runs under the radiator overflow tank, and the one next to it? I've been running without one of them (i broke it when removing the AC), and havent had any overheating problems. That was when my car was NA tho
