Now you know how I felt after owning a 87 who's blower motor only worked in low for three years and I finaly bought a blower motor housing with its relays, and WALLA! It works, it works! The clock problem is fixed just like the links say, dismantle and resolder the solder points at the connector on the unit. I was lucky and just reheated mine and it works. Had to do the same on the other two cars. Universal problem. The correct way, I understand, is to wick the old solder off the connections and apply new. I just got lucky I reckon, or they might go bad again someday in the future.

Yeah. That rectangular idiot light panel that has the clock in it along with the warning lights . There's a write up somewhere on this site: http://home.rmci.net/panther/rx7clock.htm but there's another with pictures that I can't find right now. This site http://home.rmci.net/panther/ and look under TECH, and you will find a lot of fixes for your car. You gotta be careful removing the plastic parts when removing the clock/idiot lite assy. After the plastic is outta the way, there are but two small screws at the ends that hold it in. And the electrical connector at the back. That can give you fits. Be sure to press its tab before yanking it off. The you put it on a table and remove the obvious screws at the back and .......well the url above tells you how to do it better than I.
