Widebody 4pc fenders $600
Hey guys, look what I found:
http://www.importfan.com/product.asp?3=1862 Looks like it may be a copy of FEED? What do you guys think? |
Why are they on a 240sx?
|
I think its just a sample. Those look really nice, not like the huge Mariah flares. I wonder about the quality since they are all four for just 600 bucks, very nice though.

Here is the rear on a FC. I had the set, but did not want to "mend" the blister to the car. It is a lot of work, plus a lot of paint (probably a whole car repaint to blend right). This is a pic of my wife holding the rear 1/4 on my RX. They are made of light light weight fiberglass, I guess the construction is ok, but not like a whole new fender. If they were direct replacemnt it would be MUCH better.

I also noticed that this JackAss website does not even know these are for a FC "Looks like the fenders fit better on cars like the RX7 , 240, or 300z. Cars with larger front fenders seem like a better fit, these would not fit an integra , civic or del sol , without major modification"
Would he really try to "modify" this blister set to fit on a 240 or 300z? Jezuz, what a moron. Anyway, the one he has all marked up with permenent marker, trying to figure out what it will fit on is for a FC as you can see on my picture above. If you have $600. and a lot of time, it is not a bad deal. -DL (again) |
If you are going to do it, do it right. This is probably the "kit" when completed. I do not know who's car this is. I got these pictures when it was for sale last year. Is this your WB RX-7?

the photo above looks like the tri point wide body kit.
Now the 1/4 panel on the blue fc looks like the Feed kit. |
I want it
Damn that thing looks nice and wide:)
|
for 600 bucks for all of em, ill take a set damn i dont have a strait fender on my 7
|
is there stuff that goes with that kit to make it look better like a bumper to to make it all smooth together??
|
Racer 13B, blue car is "DIMOS" made in Japan (see attachment).
Stepdaddy, they are not fenders, the rears are blisters. Gallon, nope, what you see, is what you get. Like I said, a lot of work to make it look right. http://members.aol.com/davelefc/dimos.jpg |
Are those even the same ones??? the white one looks like it has wider flares then the other flares they are selling, dont you guys think??
|
I've been looking for these fenders for a long-freaking time. Not a bad deal at all for only $600
|
I found those a few days ago, and called them and they couldnt(wouldnt) tell me what mold they came from. I kinda hope it is the Feed kit, not the Tri point kit cuz I want it and cant afford the 12" wheels needed for the tri point kit, but the Feed kit looks a little smaller. I agree, though, I love it and for 600-wohoo!
|
Also, on the GTP website on the pics where it shows that the front fenders are 8" wide, I measured my fenders(stock) and they are also 8" wide. I think the wide body kit ones are just arched more,BUT that leads me to believe that its not the same kit as the one in these pics of the white car, cuz those front fenders are HUGE, look to me to be deff wider than 8"
The offset on my 17"RH C2's sits them flush with the fenders now, think with a one inch specer they will come close to filling the fenders for sale on GTP? Also so whats the consensus are they the really wide Tri point kit, or the ones in the pic on the top of this page(Feed?)? |
These things are paper thin (you can see my wife holding the rear blister with two fingers in picture above). In my opinion they are not worth it. By the time you are done with the application and then the paint. These things are flexable and I would be worried that if I turned a corner too fast they would crack. The rears actually fit over the stock fender, so I am not sure that you can change the wheel size. Anyway, spend your $600. on it and $1000.+ on a paint job and let me know how you like it. If you look at the edges on the one for sale at GTP, the edges are not even cut straight.

RX hevin, do those infact look like the same ones that you had/have, or from a similar but different mold? I can mold them myself so labor isnt an issue. the fact that they are thin is eay to remedy, just a few more layers of resin on the inside. I just love the way they look! I dont even want to change the wheel size, call me a ricer but I think they just look sweet!
