Wideband Wiring Routing

So I got around to installing my wideband over christmas vacation, but am not happy with how the wires are routed. I've searched all over but all I've seen/heard of was through the shifter tunnel. That is where the wires pass through right now, but it keeps the two rubber boots from mating, and lets a little bit more noise into the cabin. With everyone with a wideband out there someone has to have a better solution. Wires aren't long enough to route up into the engine bay and through a grommet, so it will have to be coming from underneath.

Anyone have a way of routing that I overlooked?

Why not route it through a hole in the firewall like by the wiring harness near the strut bar?

Get a soldering gun or those crimp on connectors and extend the wires a bit its not hard at all.

:)

get a long drill and drill straight through the radio towards the engine bay until you start to see coolant hitting the ground, then you should be good to run the wires.

Yeah I thought of this and looks like I'll have to go this route, I guess I was just hoping there was some magical easy-access hole I had missed:lol:

Just run it through the emissions harness grommet on the passenger firewall.

I did that today, didn't think the wires would be long enough but they were just fine and didn't need extending. Ended up mounting the box in the area where the AWS reservoir used to be and passed the wires through the grommit into the cabin.
