Why is it so F***ing hard to find new lifts for the hatch on my FC? I've scoured the internet for new ones, and as of yet have come up with nothing. If anyone could send me a link to a site that has new ones for sale, that would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

Mailed mine to them and got them rebuilt with a bit more force for my hatch louvers. Stand in the wrong spot when I pop the hatch and it'll uppercut you. It cost about the same as a new strut from Mazdatrix (~$100 IIRC)

^ That was $100 each? Would it be cheaper if they were rebuilt to stock spec?

~$100 total for both, but that was ~2-3 years ago. Don't know if it changed since then.

For anyone who's had their struts rebuilt by Strutwise, how do they handle the S4 strut with the light? Do they have to cut off the shrinkwrap and remove the wiring for the light to rebuild the strut, or does it come back intact? I'd like to send mine to them and I was wondering if anyone had experience with this.
