88 N/A-do you need to have absolutely no cat at all? I have everything stock. heres how it is. downpipe to high flow cat to straight pipes out the back minus mufflers. How come no flames? Exhaust smells unburned, like sulfur or rotten eggs.

Because the cats are a big restriction in exhaust flow.

damn, I thought "high flow", meant "high flow". I guess not enough to "fire throw".:D

You won't throw flames with the stock mufflers either. When my racepipe was on with stock mufflers, I would get massive backfires, but no flamage.

accually your cats are probaly high flow. but they have enough serface area on them to burn away the exhaust. plus a catylist to kill the flamies.

Cats usually flow plenty fine. When they first came out they were basically exhaust plugs, but they've come a long way. But no matter how well they flow, they will stop any flamage.

If a cat is working correctly, it will convert the unburnt gases. This will of course not allow any major amount of un-burnt gas past the cat and out to the exhaust.
