Who's using a Starion FMIC?
Just wondering how it fits and how efficient it was? Or what core fits nicley in the S4 bumper? Thanx for the help guys?

Hey Omar,
its kevin with the TII right around your corner. Its an okay intercooler for the price. The intercooler and piping fit fine. You may have to relocate your battery depending which way you do your piping. But in all honesty, I don't think the starion is a good enough FMIc for the RWHP you're trying to get. Kevin |
How much rwhp does the starion ic support?
|
my guess is 240-260rwhp. i did 224rwhp on a starion with stock s4 turbo and other mods @ 14psi.
|
Hey Kevin, how are those front lips coming along:D
Im only planing to make about oh 260rwhp or less with the stage one from BNR. It has be better than the stock S5 TMIC right? Although I have heard they flow almost the same, so im not sure what to do. You have or had one on your TII? Thanx!:) |

So if the Starion's suck so bad, what are some other cheaper low end intercoolers that your not just paying for the big name on? I want a FMIC too but don't wanna shell out for something just cause its made by HKS or Greddy or something. |
The isuzu NPR intercoolers are pretty nice (and fricken huge) and there is almost always 3-4 of them up on ebay
|
the starion where the best stock factory designed intercoolers period. the vo now uses them. lol.
they are good for pretty good power. |
how much modification is needed for the isuzu NPR fmic?
|
Not sure but I know the core is 19x14x2 try finding room for that up front D=

Starion intercoolers hold up to 17-19 pounds |
I had one on my 87 TII. They work well but the inlet and outlet tubes are sort of tiny.
