White looking foam on oil dipstick.

Well, I went to check my oil, and towards the top of the dip stick, where the rubber is, there was a thick white substance. It kind of looked like foam, but quite a bit thicker. The oil smells like there is gas in it, but I don't see why I would be running rich. I have an FPR, set to I think 32 psi..... but not 100% sure. It is set to what the FSM says.

What is this white foam stuff? Anyone else seen it? Hopefully it is something I can fix easily.

Thanks!

Most likely it is condenstation inside the tube. The RX-8 had the same issue, nothing to worry about if it is what I am thinking.

It's either water or coolant. Could be condensation or could be a bad seal. Condensation would come from short and/or infrequent drives. Assuming it's condensation, make sure you change your oil at least every 3-4 months even if you haven't driven that many miles. The additives in oil can only stop corossion for so long. Other than that condensation is nothing to worry about.

Fuel dilution (gas in the oil) is a problem that requires more frequent oil changes and may indicate a bad seal.
