be really carefully with the needles when you install this...careful taking them off and make sure you put them back on EXACTLY how they came off or your gauges will be incorrect...my buddy has em, they look pretty good.
Yeah i thought that might be the case, my tacho reads 500 rpm higher than the one on the microtech anyway
I had these in my car for a little while. They look good except that they are little too bright at night. I enjoyed them for the few hours that they actually worked. The power inverter burned up shortly after I installed them. :( S'ok though. I decided I like the stock gauges better anyway.
How bright are they? Why didnt you just adjust the dash dimmer
Im sorry, but when I see those in any car the word "rice" comes to my mind. I dont know if im just hugry or what. :Wconfused
A white dash makes rice come to mind? What drugs are you on i want some. I thought the white would make it look a little more classy and modern

Sorry typed one thing ment another. Looks ricey, not really a bad thing when it is a jap car.
i have them and i rather like them but some people don't like 'em.
i must be a ricer, oh noes! |
I have them on my N/A, love 'em. I am in the process of installing glow needles....clear Lexan needles from a Mazda MX6 and blue LED rings underneath the needles to transfer the light all the way through to the tip. Should be pretty cool looking at night.
Where did you get the glow needle from?
Im a hardcore ricer, i have them. I fucked it up though, i took the needles off, and when i put them back on, the only needles that worked were my speedo, and rpm... i felt like a douch, looking back, i didnt have to take the needles off i dont think, i think i coulda slipped them in there without taking them off.
so see if you can put them on without taking the needles off so you dont risk damaging your gauge cluster. But they are decently bright, they look Mucho better than stock. |
Sweet man thanks for the advice
hey can you post pics of them installed at night? i want to see what they actually look like at night, not the companies "perfect world" pictures.
yea, i just bought them off ebay also about 2 weeks ago but i only paid 25 with 15 shipping. but neway i installed them just fine in about 45 min. u can just slip the gauges over the needles, u dont need to remove them but still be careful not to break them. also u can adjust the brightness on the inverter that u get with the gauges. i just back probed the headlight wiring harness for a power wire that is only on when i flip my lights on and tapped into that wire. really easy to do, but the down fall is that the damn needles don't light up and they are kinda difficult to see, but im alright with that. and i have a picture of them but im not sure how to post it??? lmk how and i will

http://www.importintelligence.com/FM...dex.html&-Edit Basically an adhesive-backed ring with tiny LEDs that goes on the gauge face underneath the needles to light them up. |
