Where is a guide for a Fuel Cut switch???

Ok, i have spent the last half hour searching and can not find a thread with instructions to wiring a fuel cut switch. The only one i could find that was even close was in the acrive and has not pictures anymore. So thus it is virtually worthless.

I am sure i could figure out how to do it on my own but don't really want to fry something when hooking it up.

So does anyone know where a write up for a fuel cut switch is? or have instructions for the exact wires and sure to do it? I know how to wire up the switch part, i just don't know where or what wire to cut.

Thanks

Now you can finally jack that 7!

Under the dash,

or at the fuel pump.

Thanks for the help! I have been looking forever, someone really should make a proper write-up and it be put in the acrives. Even that one is a bit confusing with each replay saying to cut another wire. lol

The attached jpg is the elect plug that goes on the relay. Your looking into the WIRE side of the electrical plug.

Then you read what NZCONVERTIBLE wrote just below that picture in the thead I attached. Cut the black/white wire on that plug, at least three inches or more back from the plug. You do that so you have enough wire at the plug to attach another wire (new wire). That wire will run to a terminal on the toggle switch you bought at the store.

The toggle switch you bought will have another terminal. From it you run another new wire back to where you cut the black/white wire at the plug. You attach this new wire to the *other* half of the wire you cut earlier. Your now in business. Flip the switch one way and there's no fuel pump power. Flip it the other way and now you have fuel pump power.

To use it, you might consider doing this during shutdown. Rev the engine to about three grand. Then floor the pedal while at the same time flipping the new switch to OFF. The engine will die for lack of fuel. THEN turn the ignition key OFF. You do this to drain the fuel pressure out of the fuel rails. IF you just turn the key off and not follow the above procedure, then the fuel rail will maintain approx 35-40psi for a half hour after turning the key OFF. It'll finally deplete pressure, but takes time. IF a fuel injector is leaking, then it will leak during this period of time contribution to flooding. If you follow my procedure there will be no fuel pressure in the rail after shutting down therefore no fuel injector leakage after shutting down.

Thanks, i am going to pick up a switch tomorrow and get this wired up. The real question then becomes, where to hide it?

Where have ya'll head of it being placed that is hidden yet easy to use?
