Where to find Jspec motors?

Im looking for a Jspec Turbo II engine, preferably for under 100k, good condition, and i want it with everything, tranny and all, how much would this cost, ahyone have any idea where i can get one? I have a Series 4 GXL (86) but i beliege that the engines are interchangeable and the engine mounts are the same, so i don't care wether its s4 or s5, i just need one, and please, show me someplace reasonably priced.

Why don't check www.fc3s.org ? They do rebuilds and, as In your case, Inport J-Specs. Can't help you out locally though.

I can get you J-spec motors and transmissions series 4 or 5 for $850 for the motors and $350 for the trans. You will need a harness and ecu with all of the accessories. Your best bet is to buy a whole car wrecked or one with a blown motor and then get a j-spec motor. That would be the cheapest way to get all the parts for the swap.

You live on the coast. If you can find an importer near you buy the entire front clip then you have all the parts, except the rearend that you can find in a junk car pretty easily. Then you can do a full jdm conversion.

a while back i got mine from www.usedengines.com good place, they were really friendly and ready to serve.

MazdaRx7Racer4Life 09-28-02 10:21 PM

did you get a turbo engine, how much did it cost you in total, im waiting for a reply from them. In tre mean time, dustin, are these jspec engines low mileage, do they iclude ll the shit i need to drop it into my s4 gxl? and do they ave any guarantees? thanks

30k or less used j-spec. $750 www.nippon-motors.com

what is this diffrence between a mechanical oil sending unit and an electrial oil sending unit, how come it costs 200 dollars more in te nippon-motors.com website? and one last question, then i won't bother you all, but does this nippon-motors place bring the clutch, flywheel, belts, manifolds, alternator, distributor, and all that stuff like fuel pump. the belts, the works, everything needed for a complete engne swap, if its not included, then what are the interchangeable s4 na parts that i can put so i don't have to buy everything piece by piecve, like what can i put from my old engine on the jspec? thanks

the Electric OMP is uhh.. electric, , the ecu sends a single to inject oil, the mechanical is ajusted by a rod that goes to your TB assembly,
the price diff isnt for the OMP, the engine with the electric sending unit is 200hp as apposed to the one with the mechanic which is 180, there are other differences you could find by searching

Nothing except there very cheap

i got mine for 850 shipped to my door, complete from intercooler to oil pan. everything is there, all of it. the alternator, P/S pump, A/C, all of it. but that WILL NOT allow you to drop it straight into a GXL. you need a lot of other stuff first.

theres no real garauntee about the low mileage part but mine came with papers showing me that it had been compression checked and passed the inspection. it gave me the numbers of compression but i cant remember right now.

So it's actually cheaper to buy the J-Spec motor than it is to buy one here in the States?

FC Drifter 09-29-02 06:02 PM

somtimes yes, but you have to remember that its a USED engine. its not going to be like a rebuild or anything.

oh and MazdaRx7Racer4Life, the engines do not come with trannies, ECUs, wiring harness or anything like that. its just the engine.

T24U 09-29-02 06:06 PM

Will the US wiring harnesses and trannies bolt up to the J-Spec motor?

FC Drifter 09-29-02 06:11 PM

yes, it goes together fine. there arent really any big differences between the US engines and the Japanese ones.
