I can't find this hose in any drawing in the FSM. Does anybody know where it goes? It comes out of the rear, above and right of the flywheel.

Appears to be the lower water hose.

I was about to make the a same thread! Haha. I think it is a water line also, but where the receiving end is, is what I can't figure out.

I bought this S4T2 partially disassembled. It's been a real pain putting it back together. I rebuilt an 86 NA a couple of years ago and didn't have any problems because I labeled and tagged everything.

I cant really tell from the pic if the throttle body is there but could it be the coolant line that attaches to the BAC or to the throttle body itself.

From his picture, it looks like he already has a hose connected to his BAC

Air supply valve hose? Not sure.

Without looking at my car I'm thinking it's the vacuum line for the brake booster.

HAILERS 03-13-08 04:13 PM

Brake booster line as mentioned above.

texFCturboII 03-13-08 04:14 PM

yup, kinda confusing when it is turned straight up like that. I was like "I don't have a line running OVER the throttle body! WTF?"

Craiger 03-13-08 04:18 PM

Definitely the brake booster line. You don't want to run coolent into that one.

FirstRotaryExp 03-13-08 04:26 PM

Yup, like they all said, its the line for the brake booster.

t24todd 03-13-08 05:20 PM

same as stated above had the exact same hose confusion..the line shouldnt go on like that though it should be pointing out behind not foward and there should be a little bracket where it screws into the firewall then hooks up to the brake booster. also you are missing the hose that connects the booster line and your exsisting line. there should be about 2 inch rubber hose in between that connects the booster line with the exsisting one. i kno it sounds confusing it easy though. wish i was at my car i would take a picture. pm me if need any more insight

Thanks guys. I had looked in the engine bay to see if something was in there that might be the correct connection but I overlooked the brake booster line. I had originally thought it connected to the intercooler. There is a water connection on that same side but the two ends are not the same diameter. Good thing, but I might have figured out that it was hooked up wrong once I dropped the motor back in the car and noticed the brake booster line wasn't hooked up. But, maybe not.

Does anybody know where the water connection for the intercooler hooks up?????

thanks again

texFCturboII 03-13-08 05:43 PM

water in teh intercooler!?!?!

Doesn't water circulate through the intercooler?

There is a connection that faces the firewall.

texFCturboII 03-13-08 06:58 PM

not unless you've bought an aftermarket water/ air cooled intercooler.
