where does everyone get their parts from? like, where do you get the best parts for the cheapest price? i use overboost. any other better places??

Are we talking performance parts or OEM type stuff? In the rotary world, the big three would be Racing Beat, Mazdatrix, and Rotary Performance. Racing Beat and RP carry a lot of aftermarket performance parts for all aspects of the RX-7. Mazdatrix also carries a lot of aftermarket parts and OEM stuff as well. Hard to find interior pieces and other mechanical parts.

I tend to fabricate most things for my car, but the things I do order come from www.racingbeat.com or Mazda factory parts from my mechanic friend who gives me a good discount.

I buy most of my parts on-line from Mazdatrix. Why? Because, like fore mentioned, you can get the OEM interior pieces and what-not from them. Nice guys to deal with, from my experiences.

I will soon be ordering the dual exhaust RB manifold and some new mufflers and presilencers. Not sure which of those I will get. Probably RB presilencers and mufflers, but may change the muffler choice.

Happy hunting. Also, I found that Autozone and Advance Auto Parts stock and can get parts for my 88 SE fairly quick and reasonably priced at times. The only parts I buy from them are spark plugs and brushes, stuff that really can't be replaced with hi-perf parts. :)

I have had some good experiences w/ www.rx7store.net they are great to work with.

i've gotten stuff from rx7store, racing beat, mazdatrix and RP. I just basically shop around.

wow, that depends on the part category and application:

- OEM accessories - MAZDA
- aftermarket rx-7 specific accessories - imported via aerodyne industries (rx7 gague clusters, cooling panels, bodykits, etc..)
- new parts discounted - victoria british
- salvaged parts - mazdarecycling, mazmart, etc...
- "better than OEM" - mazdatrix
- performance accessories - rx7.com (sorry rx7store)

There's allot more places as well.

Like Mazdaspeed7, I build alot of mine own stuff, it ends up alot cheaper, builds skill, and is a good challenge sometimes, most of the fun in mods for me is the building and designing process..
When I do need something, I shop around, if a place gives me what I want, and has good service, I will give them repeat business even if they are not the lowest price in town, but I like to try alot of different places, just to see who is good, unfortunately my list of dismal shops is about 10 times longer than my list of good shops, for the rotary stuff, I found atkins to be pretty good, they will give you 500 dollars worth of advice on a 10 dollar purchase.. You can judge alot about a company in how they deal with email, if you email them once and no reply, they might be busy, if you email them twice and no response, look elsewhere, they obviously don't care(insert Greddy here)...
The lowest price isn't always the cheapest in the long term, the smaller shops in my experiences tend to be alot more forth coming about products and problems than the larger ones, there was a website that rated all the rotary shops, but I can't recall what it is, anyone else know? Max

SR Motorsports hooked me up, the Cust. Service at Rotary Performance was OUTSTANDING, Overboost has good sales, Nopi has the cheapest prices (for universal stuff), and when I ordered from K2RD they came through like a champ. :D

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned mazdacomp. www.mazdamotorsports.com they have lots of stuff at good prices. and no you don't have to be a member. there are also some good stuff at www.corksport.com and don't forgot ebay :D

All of the above but one have offered me good prices and good service. The one that is the exception is Overboost. They fucked me over hard back in my "less knowledgable days" See my Dry NOS install writeup on my site for more info, as I don't want to use this forum to use that type of comment :bash:

For OEM parts I order from Russel automotive on the east coast. My mazda dealer in town rips me off big time on parts.

Yeah, what's with the dealer, I guess that really don't want to sell you parts, the prices that they charge are outragous!

I would do alot more with factory stuff if they were only reasonablely priced!

I'm worried about the day to comes where I need something that only they can supply! 'cause in my are the auto wreakers base their price on a percentage of new, and to boot there is rarely a parts car to be had!

Recently one appeared in the paper, it was gone in a few hours!
