where to buy harness plugs???
 

I am getting ready to do my haltech install. I am wanting to source some new plugs. I have searched the forums as well as multiple google searchs. Does anyone know where I can buy new plugs for the engine harness? thanks

S4 injectors and the BAC is a bosch EV1 connector, and I bought mine from DIYautotune.com

Everything else got changed over to GM sensors that came with pigtails, so if it's stock connectors you're looking for, I can't help you there.

my 1st plan is to keep oem plugs (or similar) but I guess the important thing is everything is wired correctly and protected. so if I change the connectors over to different ones I just need to create a schematic of the new plugs for future use if i have issues,

I made a whole new wiring harness for mine. I installed a megasquirt on mine, and the engine harness got thrown in the trash except for the bits I pulled out of it that included things like the wipers, dash coolant temp meter, etc. It took a while to make a custom engine harness, but it was DEFINITELY worth it. And I have a wiring diagram I made for it too, that I've laminated a copy of for future reference.

where did you get your plugs from? or did you use new generic plugs (i.e 4 wire sensor= plug with 4 pins)? thanks

ballenger motorsports has a ton of connectors

from Mazda you need to buy the whole harness to get plugs. in the aftermarket its spotty, but 99% of the stock connectors are available, although from a bunch of different sources.

so search google, and here.

Like I said, I used the bosch EV1 pigtails I linked in my first post for the injectors and BAC. Those all stayed the same. I think I may have had to file off the alignment tab for the BAC, but it was worth it to get a new connector. The other sensors that were on the car got replaced by GM sensors, so the wiring connectors got replaced with GM pigtail connectors as well. Really the only other connectors that got replaced were the intake air temps sensor and the coolant temp sensor. There's no more AFM, the map sensor is built in to the circuit board on the ECU, so all I have to do is run a vacuum line to it, and the O2 sensor got swapped out by my wideband, and the wideband's module had an output wire that got hard wired to the ECU. Anything else I'm missing (like the TPS) got replaced by generic weather-pack connectors.

Banzai racing has a patch harness for S4's and S5's, but at $315, it's a bit expensive to chop up. I think there's another source for them, as the connection is actually a common import style.

If you search around, you may be able to find it actually. It seems like it's a nippon denso style 52 pin ECU connector.

its made by tyco, and they do sell them, usually in lots of 10,000 or something. there are plenty floating around, actually my friend has boxes of the S5/S5/FD ecu connectors

140 bucks.. only S5 is listed, but it worth a try to contact them..

never found a single source for the connectors unless you want to buy cases of them.

brand new GM sensors and connectors are much more readily available and reliable anyways, since you have the haltech. not sure why you want to retain the stock sensors with a deathgrip so badly.
