Where To Buy Cheap Garrett Turbo?
 

I am in the market for buying a good turbo for my TII swap. My choice is either T04S OR GT35R. do u think its cheaper to get from ebay? i mean a garrett. or do u suggest any other brand which is not going to cost me arms and leg. I see for around $1600 bucks i can get a GARRETT GT35R.

Also what kind of A/R should i look for a 350+ hp?

get a bnr stg 4 thats wat i have . use ur stock manifold and downpipe bolt right up . i like it for now

I don't think "Garrett" and "cheap" even go together in the same sentance.

The BNR Stage 4 is good up to ~400 HP. (Pretty reasonably priced, too.)

call around, one customer picked up his own by searching and found a new GT3574R for $1060(wholesale price for most shops). problem with those turbos and ebay is there is alot of knockoffs and some are quite convincing. last thing you want is to spend that kind of cash for some chinese POS.

a real turbo for a few bucks more than a BNR stage 4? no way! *sarcasm*

it's a whole different ball game when you ditch the hybrids, even if there was some magical way that the hybrids could make the same power the response will leave you bus lengths ahead of the hybrid turbo.

if you can find a good used one for around $500 then i can understand that, but if you're spending the advertised $900+ for a hybrid you will eventually be taking a loss as you get tired of the slow response and rather narrow power band.

Yeah, I second that rotaryEvo said. You really get what you paid for, ebay shit like piping and intercooler, you might be able to slide away but when it comes to serious shit, that's where you really need to spend your money on

From personal experience with the BNR Stage 4... I can say that I agree with the above statement. I typically recommend this turbo for the entry-level simplicity that it offers. Get exactly what you want. Get a Garrett.

yes its just the hot side but oh well

most turbo shops will swap the hotside for free(if you buy the turbo from them) but the hotside that rotaries most commonly use isn't as common as most others.

1.06A/R is about what you want. divided or undivided won't matter a ton to a 35R.

nope, you can switch the manifold later on.
