Wheel stud questions

I need to get around to replacing some beat wheel studs on my 89 TII, anyone know exactly what size studs I need?

Also, when replacing the studs, how involved will it be? I have read threads that mention replacing whole wheel bearings, or the boot, or something or other. Is this not going to be a pop-em-out, pop-em-in kind of job?

I've done a few searches now, and can't seem to get a definitive answer. Thanks for any help in advance.

Its not just a pop out, pop in job. After you get the brakes, you pretty much take the whole wheel assembly out. Then get the ABS wheel off so that the stud will come out the back. Your gonna need a 32 mm socket (if i remember right) and I couldn't break that nut lose with a 3 foot breaker bar even jumping on it :( Its deffinatly an afternoon job.

Ah crud, so I will have to remove the hub after all. I was afraid that would be the case.

In any case, anyone know the exact size I need for the replacement studs? Any suggestions for maybe a more durable option? (The ones on my car may have been victims of abuse, I'm not sure, because they are in terrible shape, if they are in one piece at all.)
