whats wrong with my horn?

Last month or so my horn was working fine and then like a week ago it stopped working. Whats wrong with my horn, do i need another one or do i have to re-wire it.

and

My cousin has owned 3 FC's and there horns have never worked. Is this a common problem for FC's?:Wconfused

check the fuse box.

my friend bought his car a while back and his horn didnt work

so we tore it apart and stuff and we opened the fuse box and there was no fuse for the horn haha

so i'm pretty sure that should be it

Fuses should be checked before even posting.

The next most common horn failure would be from a improperly added aftermarket steering wheel

Followed by a bad CPU main board horn relay.

hey mark, why would an aftermarket steering wheel mess up the horn? can you explain that better please

TehMonkay 05-16-07 12:30 AM

Not hooking it up correctly?

Basically you need to connect the corresponding horn wires to the new steering wheel. Unless you have moved your horn button/switch to somewhere else.

i've got this same problem when i bought my the car, i'd get a clicking noise when i press the horn buttons, but that's about it. i've checked all the kickpanel fuses as well and they're fine. i don't have an aftermarket steering wheel, so that doesn't apply.

at first, i thought it was my factory alarm causing it, but after 'searching', i now know that it can't be the cause. so, i'm just curious to know how i'm supposed to fix it if it was my CPU that was causing the problem.

get a new/used CPU? wouldn't a used CPU be no different than my current one? :Wconfused

I know i had the same probelm so i replaced the horn with a S5 and put fuses in the fuse blox.
