whats wrong?

:cockblock so i finally go to the dragstrip, im very freaking exited.... well i get to the start line, the light goes green and i go off... ...put second gear and the car is reving really good, im thinking a 13 sec or something since it was really pulling.. so i put third gear and as the revs are going up to 6k it just misses... the engine puts out a strage sound, a PRRRRRR might be close to describe it... so i imediately let go of the throtle and floor it a again and it did it again.. i put fourth and got by the finish line....went back, started again and it did it again at the same revs in third gear.... NOW WHAAT ON EARTH IS WRONG WITH MY CAR?.....cant be a fuel cut is only @ 6 psi,, ...... ...the car did a 14.4 with this problem just makes me mad.

mod list?

to run that time with issues and on stock ECU and turbo you can't be running 6psi.

well yea actually it was 14.4,, i only have a 3 inch exhaust system..intake..ummm well thats it..oh and a skyline fuel pump

Madrx7racer 09-20-06 12:53 PM

where is your FCD? did you port the wastegate? sounds like fuel cut to me.........how do you know you're only boosting 6psi? stoch gauges?

gil_tpr 09-20-06 03:39 PM

wel.. no fcd,and no nothing done to the wastegate......i dont think it is a faulty gauge.. but is it posible to boost 6psi in first and second, and 10psi or more in third with stock ECU? i want to know for SURE if it is a fuel cut

by the way, it doesnt have a/c or power steering.......

Madrx7racer 09-20-06 03:53 PM

just by having the exhaust you should be boosting 10psi.........the intake (and new metal TID) will also increase boost........don't damage your car
