what's spec compression?
 

I just checked the compression in my 90 t2 today. It's BONE stock. NEW motor 2500KM ago (everything new, including the dipstick!).


121psi front, 123psi rear. This is about what I should expect, right?

There is a chart that shows the minimun, but no chart showing exact figures, THAT I KNOW OF. 120 PSI sounds real good.

But if someone had a S4 turboii, I wouldn't expect to EVER see that figure. The compression ratio is a lot lower than the 91cars.

while I have a fairly good idea of what a good used engine should make (100+psi) - I'm not sure what exactly "spec" ideal, new compression is - so that's why I'm asking.
