Hey guys,
im just curious as to what is the best way to hit huge numbers with a TII.

Im wonder as far as engine internals go, what turbo, what ecu etc etc.

I have spent a bunch of time researching this and have found information to be very spred out... I would just like some straight forward answers to my questions.

The car is a widebody FB, and I am building it as a mean street/drag beast. The car has a TII big brake kit up front, and im going to put a ford 8.8" diff in to handle the power. From there I am going to do my TII swap, I just want a huge power setup thats going to be good on the street.

My current ideas for a setup is something like this:
TII block
Large Streetport
60-1 (http://www.rotaryshack.com/Products/...?intNotice=140)
3" exhaust
FMIC
Microtech ECU
external wastegate
etc etc..

Anyways I would like some input from you guys as to what setup will be good.

V-Mount intercooler would be a better choice, you will need supporting mods such as injectors, fuel pumps, radiator. I think a large streetport will barely be enough.

The problem with rotary and massive power is that power is not very linear, traction will be a problem at that point. Easiest and cheapest way is to go V8, or go w/ the RE motor.

O you can hit 400whp+ with a BNR. Much cheaper than that turbo you posted.

500hp with ease with a .81 A\R hotside? Won't that kinda choke the top end before it gets to 500hp?

BTW rubber in the rear is 315's.... and going to be upgraded to 335's in the future... Traction is NO problem.

Hmmm interesting with the BNR turbo, where can I find the specs and more info on this turbo? Yes I know there is a ton of supporting mods as well, and im prepared to do it all... Also I have heard its easier and usually a better choice to go for the TII engine, because its easier to get to work in the FB chassis and its a decent reliable motor.

60-1 is a decent turbo for pump gas, but if you want to push more than 20psi, its limitations become apparent. I think this was showed well in Directfreak's dyno video, where his custom-made "63-1" turbo didn't crack 500hp even at 22psi.

What's important is what kind of power delivery you want. There are turbos out there that will make 400rwhp all day at 15psi with insane spool-up characteristics (full boost before 4k), but they tend to not be able to make it up to higher hp level. Then there are larger frame turbos that won't hit full boost until around 5000rpm, but will make an easy 450rwhp on pump gas with the ability to reach closer to 600hp. Greddy T-88(lower cost), Turbonetics T-72, HKS T-51R, Garret GT-42R (!!$!@$@!$!). Also depends on your budget.

Get a turbo from www.Precisionturbo.net

They built me a PT67 GTP for 1200 with a 1 year warrantee and I love it.

Any turbo from PT 63 up to 76 you will love with a p trim and .81 backside. PT turbos have hit the highest RWHP marks on this forum. Where 400 used to be the goal, now its 500 and a PT76 just hit close to 700, check it in the single turbo section. You will hear a lot of bullshit options in this thread but it seems to me you want to make power so call PT.

Right now, I am in the 400 range with just a stock port and a t-61. This is also with a v-mount.

Stock port would hit those numbers with the right turbo/fuel and tuning......people think you've gotta port to clear the 400 mark but its just not so.

No, but the 1/4 mile numbers indicate 433 RWHP. I know thats not wholly accurate, but its a good guestimation.

Best and safest way (in my opinion) would be with:

Medium to large streetport
Standalone EMS of your choice
Cosmo 20B fuel pump (or equivalent)
Good FPR
At least 550/1000cc injectors
Large ball bearing turbo (plenty of options here)
90mm JIC exhaust
Wideband
Standalone boost controller
Lots o' gauges
FMIC or VMIC
Aluminum radiator w/efan setup

There could be a few things I'm leaving out...

i hoping to hit at least 400 off of my setup once tuned. granted i have a small budget thanks to college but it willwork...

-Emanage Blue with timing and injector harness
-Mediumish to large streetport, (its a vague description, its not small. but not huge. sorta braps alittle.)
-650cc prim / 950cc secondaries / 550cc aux
-Walbro 255lph
-Aeromotive 13109 FPR
-completely removed emission, a/c, manual steering rack etc. (for ease of working on car)
-TB modded
-FMIC
-T4 60-1 w/ .84 turbine ball bearing(i wanted lower rpm spool for my driving)
-Tubular manifold
-3" straight pipe.
-WG open dump
-e-fan w/ stock radiator. (poor)
-well desgined ducting and shrouds.
-FD alt
-CDI box (fc1000...again...poor)

I am not sure about the 20b pump but I do know that a stock supra TT pump can handle 500 and are under 200 bucks.

and 550/1000 is not enuff fuel. I went with 720/1680 and now I am wishing I went 1000/1680
Some say that its tuff to get it to idle with large primaries but its worth it in my opinion.

that statement is very true. when the NOPI nationals came through my area, i ended up talking to one of the guys who works on the all blue rx7, and they use stock ports as well. just with methanol and tons of boost....but still stock ports. that and its more consistant for them in that its hard to port something the same way everytime when you go through a motor or two at an event.

The 20B pump and Supra pump are the same Denso part #... ;)
