MO what would make my car run like crap?

its a 87 rx7 with a turbo 2 swap. i had it in one rx7 running perfect. then i found a s4 roller that had a perfect body on it. so i swapped the engine tranny etc. and i upgraded to the rtek 1.7. i did have the safc hooked up so i could run bigger injectors. 1200cc secondaries and still tune it. instead of the 720's. for some reason its running like total ****. it will start just fine but the idle is junk it tries to die out and if u hold it at a steady rpm it it misses like crap. i have spark and fuel. what is a good pressure to set my regulator at? that might be the problem maybe?then i took the safc completely out. its still the same. i didnt change anything but the turbo inner cooler and the computer. i cant go drive it around yet bc i have no down pipe for my wide band. to see what my afrs are. if u could just give me a list of things to check.

they arent on it right now. they have stock 550 primaries and 720 secondaries like the computer is chipped for. and as i put the upper intake on i checked all my vacuum spots and made sure they were plugged or used.i shouldnt have to tune it while its just idling. i seems like if i raise the fuel pressure the engine smooths out. with vacuum on its at like 50 psi. what should it be set at?

Stock fuel pressure, at idle, is about 30 psi.

Did you reconnect the AFM signal wires when you removed the SAFC?

ok so i am having a flooding problem. i put the gas pedal to the floor just like rtek was designed for to deflood it. no luck. my plugs are black when i take them out. i put a new set in and she fired up and ran fine. then sat for a few hours and same thing. take out plugs and are solid black. i have stock injectors also. i even put it on a toggle switch and still nothing. i spun the engine backwards to try and see if it was full of gas and nothing came out. then i cranked it for 30 seconds with the egi fuse out and put it all back together and nothing. just a bunch of back firing. anyone have any ideas? same setup as b4 just different computer

Hold on.. There info missing we need to help yah.

First you had an 87 n/a with a turbo II swap. (tell every detail about the swap) Did u run it with n/a ecu? and safc? or did u use the real turbo ecu/MAF/HArness? etc.?

Maybe grounding somewhere on the car? Did the car run fine before you put the new motor in? This car's achilles heel is the grounding I think.

Sounds too simple, but check your TID for cracks.

well now i got it to run but its fouling out my plugs bad. they are solid black and wet when i pull them. so i guess im gonna buy some new plugs and see what happens. i dont see y its getting so much gas while its idling. it will fire right up but run like crap.i turned down my fuel pressure.and what not. still dont know why it would be getting so much fuel at idle. the computer is chipped for 550/720 injectors. y do u guys think it would be flooding itself out while idling. if i clean the plugs off it runs fine for a minute then has a major miss and i pull the plugs and they are all wet.
