What would cause excessive oil pressure?

Okay i have a fresh rebiuld with high oil pressure. its blowing past the front and rear main. i have 60psi at idle (1100 rpm). i tryed a new oil filter but no luck, any ideas before i rip into it?

Clearances too tight between moving/stationary parts, blocked oil passage (due to gasket/silicone/improper assy), bad oil pressure regulator.

im thinking its oil pressure regulator. this is my fourth rebuild and i have never had any issues until now.

The oil pressure regulator does not effect oil pressure at idle.

Oil should not be blowing past the seals as there is virtually no pressure there.

My guess is that your oil gauge is reading wrong and you have a PCV issue. Or the seals were installed correctly.

I have high oil pressure too like 90-100psi when reving it but I think it started doing that after i installed my thermal pellet.
