what stage clutch should I get, I searched...

Hi, what stage clutch kit should I get for my S5 NA? I installed a new OEM kit in May and it's already falling apart?

It's my daily driver and I race the engine only occasionally and I don't want to lose too much drivability. Everytime I run 2 or 3 1/4 miles in a row, my clutch starts to smell, so I'm ordering a new one but I don't know what's the best stage for me.

Thanks

I have a half worn out stage 3. I was told its ACT. Its not bad at all when it comes to driveability, i drive it everyday. But it has some real bite to it, makes stock clutches in my friends cars feel like slush.

Stage 3? Wow, I thought those were like "track only" clutches, that you lose drivability a lot, hmmm...

Im not tryna brag or anything its what came on the engien I put in so I kept it. Its not a problem to drive at all. The only thing I rememebr being a PITA to drive was my friends civic with a 6-puck IIRC.

I didn't mean to say you were bragging, I had just heard that those clutches were for racing only... Thanks for the help.

I have a stage 3 and its just pointless. Yes it grabs hard, and I suppose if I lived in a city with zero traffic I wouldnt mind so much. As far as actually streetability, its fairly poor. Dont get me wrong, you get used to it, but I just dont need it at the levels I am or will be running.

i have a sprung 3 puck with a stage 2 pressure plate. ;) now that thing has barely any drivablilty

ACT Street/Strip with heavy duty pressure plate. I've got a 160rwhp N/A and that's fine for me. ACT doesn't have "stages" . The previous owner had put in a 4 puck... well that shit grabs like hell, it was easy to launch, but it was hell on my drivetrain. It broke my differential. Puck clutches and N/A drivetrains don't go well together, at least not for very long.
