what rims look nice on TurboII's?

On this picture my car used to be white and now its dark charcoal grey.. havent takin any pics of it yet... and i got an r-magic wing......im just wondering what rims i should get??>

Hey, what'd you use to remove your side moldings?

I think any 5 spoke rim will look good on a tii almost...

It looks like he molded the stock bumper. If you painted your car charchol I'd go with a gun metal 5 spoke. That would look sweet! Nice car by the way!

I think a 5 spoke or split 5 spoke rim that is silver with a polished lip would look really good. Its really your opinion though.

definately a gun metal grey. I really like the 5 spoke style wheels, and also the mesh style wheels (the ones that look like the Viper's and Porsche's racing wheels).

I don't know how he did it specifically, but there are clips that you can unclip from inside the door. So just take off the door skin, make sure you windows are up, and you can get at them. Then it's just a matter of molding them flush with filler and sandpaper! (not as easy as it sounds) ;) :)

Your car looks nice but what did you do to the headlights!! I still a fan of the pop up lights...... go with some Volk's or some 5 or 6 spoke enkei's would look nice.

Yes I know that much... I was wandering what materials he used, and if he got aftermarketr bumper's without side moldings on them, then welded strips over the spot where the side moldings used to be on the doors/fender's. Or if he used some sort of fiberglass body filler ..or just bondo?

It is however easy to leave the moldings on and weld metal over it! :D

I would go out on a limb and say, it would be filler rather than welding in a strip that long. The reason being is it would be very hard to file the welds into a straight edge that kept the contour of the body. Just too much work! (I could be wrong though)

I'm planning a similar idea for my car, just not as elabrate as his! :) I'm taking off the trim and molding in an S5 bumper with a front lip so that their will be no lines other than my pop-ups! ;)

thanks you for the comments.......thats a jdm boarder house kit for the headlight..... i just removed the motor and left the lights sitting as if the lights are left down ruing the day time if i had pop-ups still. yes the kit is molded.....im not sure what material they used at the shop i brought it to..but they did a nice job....... thank you for the advice for the rims... i removed the side moldings....and that is a JDM kit all the way around......but i made the mistake to mold it but its ok later on if i have money i'll change to another jdm kit or just un mold it....thank you fellow FC members

You should find out what they used for it! How long have you had that done? Has any parts of it cracked or warped at all?

i've had the body like this for about 6 months.... no parts cracked...no parts have been warped.... for the rims im lookin at super street....what bout the enkei RC5???

if you are lookin for a jdm look, and your car is charcol now....IMHO, i think a set of those Advan split tri-stars in black with maybe the red outter rim and accents (very drifter-esc (s.p.)). im not usually a fan of tri-stars, but there is something about those wheels on a sweet driftin' ride, with a damn nice body kit like yours :drool:

Its actually very easy. When I cant get stuff to stay in place while I am welding and cant clamp it I use some big magnets or clay. I want a TIG welder though... :(

Yeah, that's fine for tacking it on, but I'm talking about finishing the welding e.g. file it down to get a nice smooth contour, extremely hard to do on our cars. Basically it would cost a ton of money to do it properly, which couldn't be justified on a car that doesn't cost that much to begin with. :)

All in all, they did a great job on your car!

You dont have file it down. Take a hammer and bang the welds into the door and put body filler on it. Then sand for like the next week lol. For me to do that myself itd probably cost under 100 to do the whole car (not including paint).

sorry my friends...there is no link for a website.....that head light kit...its called a JDM boardhouse kit headlight conversion.....my friend recommended me to one of his friends from japan to buy it so i can get that kit....had to pay a hefty amount of money...the whole kit and headlights and "wing" (that i recently got) all imported from japan....my friend sent me the pic from japan on how the kit looks and i decided to get it.....all i kno that it was shipped to my house....i seriously do not kno the name......of my own kit (sounds really pathetic) but yea sorry my friends...........thanks for the replies.....
