What to look for when buying

Im 15, ill be 16 in a few months and I want to buy an rx7. By the time of purchase ill have between $6000-$7000. I want a 88-91 rx-7. What should I look for when buying one? Will this be enough money?

Yes, that is more than enough, which is a good thing so that you can pay for insurance and those repairs that pop up unexpectedly.

See this site on what to look for:

See this site for pricing the car. Go to Used Car Values for Shoppers, and click on Private Party Value. You can do the rest. BTW, be sure to click on the "more" link so that you fully understand the vehicle condition descriptions.

See this site for pricing the parts that need to be fixed when negotiating the sales price of the car. Don't forget to factor in labor costs, even if you plan to do the work yourself.

Some final advice: When deciding on an bidding price, if the car has any performance or aesthetic modifications, take into account what they are worth to YOU, not what they are worth to the current owner.

Where are you in Florida?

Do you have any goals for this car? With that much money you can get a nice TII if thats what you wanted. But if you don't need to be so fast you can get a perfect NA and hook it up nice.
