What kind of intake/throttle bodie should I use?
 

Im Upgrading my s5 13bt. Iv got a stage 2 street port, 3mm seals, 680cc primanrys and 860cc secondarys, the turbo I have perchased is a masterpower t70 with a .70ar front and 1.00ar rear, this will be bolted to my stainless steel turbo manifold with a 46mm tial wastegate. Im running a sard fpr and a microtec ltx8.
Im in the process of intalling these components and was wondering weather or not I need to upgrade the throttle bodie and intake size. Im planing to tune to 15psi.
do I just fabricat a new straight intake for the 3inch piping to the intercooler or am I going to need to make a new plenum and trottle aswell.. If so do you know where to get a design or buy one.
I heard that by takeing out the second set of butterfly's on the throttle bodie helps with response on a larger turbo.. What do you guys think.. Any halp appretiated

The stock TB is plenty for your kind of power levels (~400 whp at your boost level and properly tuned). Changing to an custom TB and custom intake manifolds would gain... maybe 20 hp for lord only knows how many hours of custom work, and likely reduce throttle response by changing to a single plate throttle.

I would recomend this only with a Standalone unit. It gave me a better throttle responce. The down side of it is, the idle seems a little high sometimes. Could be getting stuck a little.

both the throttle body and the intake are plenty big enough for what you want... only thing you might wanna look into is the throttle body mod... read up on it..... youll like what you hear:)

exelent info guys thanks for that.. One more question im using a aftermarket fd intercooler Its 450x300x100 do you think this will be sufficiant? Iv removed the bonnet catcher (using bonnet pins) and relocated the fuses and im going to mount it on a slight angle with ducting from the bumper for efficiant air flow. Also going to use a slighty smaller but thinker radiator with two fans one on each side. after some research this seams to work fine with no coolant problems. What you think

For you yanks :D, thats 17.5" x 12" x 4 inches deep.

The core efficiency really depends on its design and endtanks. Do you know the brand? Where are you mounting your intercooler?

Im unsure of brand its actually suppost to be an upgrade for a fd comes with intercooler piping. ill post some pics so you can have a look.
Im going to mount it just infront of the radiator where the bonnet catch could be.

I'll be interested to see that. im not gona put my FMIC right up the front either. i would go v mount but i can afford a bonnet as well right now. post up some picks when your done
