What intake should I get?
I have a 1988 RX-7 N/A, I was just wondering if everyone could let me know what cold air intake would be best for it. THANKS!

Custom. Get an HKS intake adaptor and a universal cone filter from where ever you feel like.

Most aftermarket work great. Get one that is easy installation.

youll need an intake adaptor like Ready Or Die said. Last time I checked Apexi's cone filter was the best one out there but its pretty expensive at around $150 bux.
Alot of people get the intake kit (filter and adaptor) from ebay. I think they run for $30 dollars or less. |
I have a cheapie cone on a Ractive adapter (dont tell anyone) and I have no complaints :)

i got a filter and adapter plate off ebay for like 20 bucks. combine that with the TID mod, and theres a very noticeable difference in power.

To bad you don’t have a S5 I would recommend the Apexi (I love it) but the new K&N filter has both a filter element on the outside and on the end of the filter. My buddy Kevin (RarestRX) bought it (like $50) and it looks great. The only difference is that you will need to get that adapter to make it work.

I personally like the Blitz filter the best because of the sound that it makes, but I have the Bonez filter because the Blitz doesn't fit the S4 that I remember...if it does then I've gotta get one. I heard that the HKS filter sucks ass when it comes to filtration (plus I don't like the foam sound that much)...how's it work for you? Do you have to replace it often, does it actually get dirty (read:do it's job)...?

Thanks for all the help, I think I might go with the Apexi even tho it is a bit pricy, but you can never go cheap when its your car! Thanks again!

Well maybe I should've read the whole post, you don't even have the filter you were talking about the adapter...I'll shut up now.
