what the heck have i done now?
i've just finished de-soldering and re-soldering my idiot lights. Firstly, this has been more electronics for me than when i was doing a course on it a few years ago! Anyway, i can't solder for shit, and in the end, the light blubs, most of them, worked, but the clock doesn't even come on now!
But the wired thing is as soon as i turn the key to the ACC position, the park lights come on, and dash lights up. But turn the park lights on and they will go abit bright. What the heck have i done now??! |
LOL... ahh... well... from my experience: Damn that sucks
though i had the same prob with my clock. Found out my soldering unsoldered a solder on the opposite side of the solder i was soldering. Resoldered it and the clock has worked for about a year now. Though its never right because I reset the ecu so often. |
you might have splattered solder where it doesnt need to be, and you're causing a short.
Take it apart again and clean up all the solder to make sure it's where it supposed to be and NOWHERE else. |
yep, you jumped a trace you shouldn't have
