What gas does your car like best?
Pick the station that supplies you with fuel! :)
List the grade afterwards 89,91,93 etc. Gulf Exxon Citgo BP Sunoco Shell Texaco Amaco Mobile Other: please specify I have had a nasty hesitation in 3rd 4th and 5th gear at WOT for the last 4 months. Nothing that I tried fixed it. I would hesitate like at 5500 6000 rpm it was the weirdest thing. Anyway I used to (up until now) always get fuel at the local Citgo. Last night I was talking with another kid who owns an FC in my area. I had just pulled into the station and he came up and we started to talk. He told me how he never puts in Citgo gas because his car bitches at him if he does, crappy idle, acceleration drop-offs etc., he claims he only runs Sunoco gas. Now I think wow that is interesting but in all reality I figure "bullshit!" How could the brand of the gas affect the quality? I mean I know he wasn't lying to me but I figured it was his imagination. So anyway on my way home today I am driving past this Sunoco station and I needed gas so I go to fill up. I pull out and proceed back to my house, just for the hell of it I lay on the gas. I am getting smooth acceleration all the way through low mid and top-end. Hesitation is COMPLETELY gone. I totally flipped and couldn't believe it! Now I am assuming it is not that Sunoco is magical just that the Citgo has more water to their gas or something. Long story short I now hate the local Citgo and love the nearby Sunoco because it solved my hesitation issue! WOOO! Just wondering what you guys use. I run 91 or 93 depending on my wallet's bulge at the time I go to buy gas hehe. --Fritz So go ahead and vote I would love to see if anyone else has anything to say along the lines of different companies having superior quality. |
I use Sunoco 94 in my TII. When it gets really expensive (in Canada gas prices change more often than the weather), I also have a 91 Octane timing map that I can use :)
Sunoco 87 for my -SE... The worst gas that I have experienced is Esso. It also seems to make my car stink more. |
Sunoco!

so basically I use Exxon/Mobil. About 2 min from my house, and they always have good fuel. 87 for the FC, premium for the vette.
