What fuse is the horn on?

Just a quick question...what fuse is the horn on? I noticed it had stopped working tonight and I don't feel like messing with it right now (dark and don't wanna break out the meter to start testing....so which one is it so I can check/change it in the morning before I leave? What else would be a common cause for a horn to stop working completely?

Not sure what fuse it is, but have you noticed if anything else that has stopped working?

If not, then it may be something with the CPU itself. Hope not.

One common cause for the horn to stop working is the relay in the CPU is bad or needs to be re soldered. I wouldn't jump to that conclusion right away tho. Check the fuses first. I don't think the horn fuse is in the kick panel fuse box.. But I could be wrong.

another dumb question but where are the horns on an 88 TII? I've never needed to check...ha. Doing a little research, I think the fuse is on the STOP fuse in the kick panel...but as far as I know my brake lights work (I'll double check in the morning), so if that's true then it looks like it'll either be the CPU or some other wiring problem...so yea...where are the horns at?

they should be on the front,on the main Round Cross member of the Car,(under the Rad support, but between the top rad support and the Oil cooler).

Should be able to see them when you open the hood and look down in front of the radiator.

There is 2 black plastic air deflectors(in front of the rad.) need to be removed for access to the horns. But I would bet its the relay not fuses.

sounds good...hoping i'll get lucky and it's just a fuse...if not I'll have to check it out next weekend.

The horns are fed from the STOP fuse, so if the brake lights are working, it's not the fuse. A quick check with a meter or test light at the CPU will tell you whether the switch, relay or horns are the problem. Look at the wiring diagram, it's a very simply circuit.
