WHAT WAS FINALLY WRONG WITH MY CAR RESULTS!!!!!(kinda long)

ok long story short... AFM crapped out taking my ECU with it... after a long time just to figure out i order a AFM from 1987rx7guy and get it in the mail... i thought that AFM was bad also because i was getting resistance on pin 2A in the ECU with the other 4 sensors unpluged (TPS, Atmospheric pressure senser, Pressure sensor, and the last one.... something under the timing screw) i went to O'Rieleys auto parts and ordered a remanufactured AFM for 194$ and threw it on.... got the car to finally idle after adjusting the cable stop bell looking thing on the firewall side of the TB... the reason this was out of whack was because i did the TB mod and installed an intake... idle was crap... and car would bog BAD after giving a bit of gas in any RPM range... then went and replaced the fuel filter just cause i needed to do be done and turns out it made it worse... ok after seeing how bad it got i now knew i was getting WAY too much fuel now that the lines are now open more (less restriction) i started banging my head what could be wrong with it and for some oddball reason i swapped out the 194$ AFM with the one 1987rx7guy sent me and BAM!!!! holy shit the car runs smoother than my girlfriends ass in all rpm ranges.. did some adjusting to the TPS to try to get it to find its happy place.. i still have some work to do with the idle cause its a bit higher than i want it but it will work for now..... after all this my car finally runs nice and well after doing all the mods and repair to it... any other questions you have feel free to ask me... the knowlege i have gained from this episode is invaluable to me and i hope to be able to help anybody else that is having the same problems..... thank you everybody that offered their advice to me and helped me along the way... good luck and ill be back soon to show my finished product of my intake and some time runs :D

good to hear you got it running. nothing is more frustrating than having an electrical problem that you cant figure out. So enjoy it now with a peace of mind and if somethng similar happens to me ill be coming to you. :)

visago... does your car try to crank at all? mine would but would not spark... the reason was the AFM crapped out taking the ECU out with it... pull off the plug from your pressure sensor (n/a) and stick a voltmeter on the brown/white wire, turn the key to ON and see if it reads at least 4.5 volts... if not then your ecu is prolly fucked... if its good then test the AFM out according to these specs (open attatchment).... check the five sensors i talked about also... when disconnecting these 5 sensors there should be NO resistance on pin 2A on the ECU harness I.E open line...... good luck let me know what you find out

ok, well., i finally got mine started using the atf trick, i dont know why that works and cleaning the plugs and pulling the fuses and blowing it out didnt work, but it started with atf, it actually shocked me, , you shoulda seen me jumping up and down in the drivers seat, so, we shall see if it holds up, if not i'll be back here posting with a frown. it avtually even idles at 750-800 now intsead of 1100 , (crossing my fingers)
