What exhaust to get?

Im looking to buy an exhaust for my fc. Its an s4 thats bone stock w/o a/c and power steering. It has eibach springs and tokico shocks so clearance might be an issue. Im looking for optimum gain in hp without sacrificing a semi-stock look.

thanks

Only 1 option for you. Racing beat. And since you are a CA resident, you still need to pass emissions.

1) Racing Beat is way overpriced. If you want to stay "fake dual" get the Rotary Performance 50mm Cat-back:

I had this system on an '87 base model and it produced moderate gains without being too obnoxious

2) But I'd suggest going with a single exhaust and getting the Corksport system:

I plan to purchase this system for my '91 Coupe soon

3) However, if you wanna go with pure sex appeal, get the Apexi GT Spec:

I had this on an '87 Sport and I must say it is the best sounding system out there

Happy rotoring

Well the exhaust is totally up to you really. And RB is not the only way to go, all though they do make an excellet product and it sounds nice it may not appeal to you and that is what is important, that it appeals to your taste.

I am a fan of the old Greddy kit, it looks nice sounds damn good, but the price is like 700$ if you can find one(well thats what Ive seen most priced at)

The Apexi N1 is nice, and you can get it in either dual canisters, or a single canister exiting on the passenger side. This sytem can be loud though.

The Apexi GT spec I hear is also nice but I have had no experience so I wont say anything about it.

Corksport system to me is a great system, looks great, sounds great, price is good. Its good all around. A friend of mine has this kit and he swears by it.

The RB system is pretty quite, sound is deep, and is a great upgrade. But to me its a lil expensive and its not really my style. Although I do rock their header.

There are a few other companies but I always liked custom setups. One forum member ran a RB header into a borla XR-1 into to N1 knock offs and it sounded awsome. Pretty sure it was Ddub but I may be wrong. There are alot of different way to get a custom set up and it would be to your liking cause it is how you wanted it. Again it is all in personal prefference.

semi look i would say the rb. thought rb is not his only option for exhaust, i do believe it is the only stock looking one out there. the rx7.com one comes close.

cheapest way to go would be ssautochrome. i have one and most would say that i'm crazy for buying it but for like $150 shipped to my door it was a steal. I am replacing the "cat" on it soon to give it a better sound because it just resonates now but other than that I would say the system is pretty good.

go custom if you want the best bang for the buck.
