what exactly is uniporting?
this guy i know has an 86 i belive and he said it has been uniported so it doesnt redline till like 14grand or so.. whats the deal with this?
|
hes full of shit
|
uhm, do you canadians have different redlines than us. Like instead of USD you have canadians dollars that look like twice the money but arent.
Twice the redline? ok yeah |
hey i dont know.. Im new to rots.. maybe itwasnt 14, but it was 12 or something around that.. I was half cut so i dont remember.. but it blew me away..
so is there no such thing as uniporting? |
hes still full of shit. You cant rev a 13B past 10.5K without spend WAY too much money.
there is no such thing as uniporting either. |
Maybe he means blending the seconday and auxillary ports together?
|
He can blend all he wants, hes not seeing 14grand. Even like Adam said, your into bucu bucks going past 10-11.
|
Why would you want to rev that high anyways? High revs dont always equal high power.
|
if your reving that high you probably have a peripheral port that keeps building power up that high

when revving high the ve starts to drop off because there is less time for the intake port to be open, therefore less time for air to travel into the chamber

I know Honda is quoted as saying that that there is double the forces on an engine (talking about s2000 engine at 9K than 8K. :o I think its double, or 10X. Don't quote me on that. :)

the port shape has more to do with when air stalls, its the angle at which it actually departs from the surface of the port and goes into the chamber. if at high rpm it stalls how do you think f1 engines spin to 20k its all about shape

But those motors are MADE to spin that high. High compression, and heads that flow unbelievable amounts of air needed to keep the VE high at those RPM's. Did you know that a monster bridge port 12A can spin 14K rpm? It has ports big enough to keep the air from stallign at those rpm's. |
