What do i need to do a complete/working 4 pot caliper conversion???
I have the front 4pot calipers right now from a s4 t2...i want to install them in a 91 coupe...what type of rotors do i need for the front to fit the 4 pots???
should i just get a set of 4 brembo rotors???(if so what kind do i need for the front and the back, i have 91 coupe rear calipers and want to install 4 pots in the front) So beside the rotors, do i need anything like master cylinder or lines or anything??? or is the calpiers and the rotors enough??? thank you |

You need the TII rotors, Not sure if the 4 pot calipers will fit on an N/A 5 bolt hubs.
Also you will need the right brake lines for those calipers if you don't already have them. As far as i know the N/A Mastercylinder will work as i used it for a whole summer with no problems at all If you can manage to shave a few pounds off the car as well as doing this brake upgrade you will really notice a difference in stopping power, specially if you combine that with smaller diameter tires with a wider contact patch ;) I.E. 205/40/R16 what i'm using. Really makes your passengers put their hands forward :D |

All 5 lugs FC's use the same brake pads........ As mentioned before, you need: - Front Calipers - Brake lines - Hard lines (it goes in between the caliper and the brake lines) <----- you can make your own ;) https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...per+conversion |
hhmmm....what exactly is a hard line???
|
i dont know about hardlines, but you may need the soft lines that go to the caliper because i know that for SS lines there are two diff kits. And part of those kits replaces a short piece of hardline that goes and attachs at your strut and then has a rubber hose to your caliper. you may just be best off buying some ss lines for 4 piston. cost around $80 or so
anyone know if the other hardlines just mate right up to it? |
i juss ordered some 4pot brake lines off www.mazdatrix.com as well as a rebuilt kit...
BTW: how do u pay for the items you ordered ar mazdatrix....gets me all confused.....i picked C.O.D or sumthing since i cant find a place to put in my credit car number.....so does that mean they'll send it to my door and then i pay them after words or sumthing??? thanks |
yep, since you picked COD. id call em in the morning and explain and change it before they ship it.
or just leave it COD. never dealt with m-trix so dont really know. |
