What differential is in an s4 and s5 convertible?

Guys, what differnetial is in an s4 & s5 convertible rx7? Is the 4.30 a factory option on this rear? Thanks!

4.3 was not a option, 4.1 is what it came with

Icemark 03-04-09 05:36 PM

S4 convertibles came with a 3.9 rear end, while all S5 convertibles (regardless of transmission) came with 4.1 rear end. There was not a 4.3 option available from the factory for convertibles.

and all convertibles came with an open (non LSD) differential.

And this is covered in the Sticky thread found at the top of this section and the new member technical section called:

interesting enough is that the 5 speed S4 convertibles came with a different 5th gear ratio then coupe 5 speed cars, .711 versus .697, but I cant ever recall someone specifying they wanted one or the other when looking for replacements.
