What color are the wires that go to the starter?

I have manuals but they don't show the color. The connections on the wiring harness was a hack job. I have a bunch of connectors hanging by the starter and I have some of the thicker guage wires hanging there too. I just would like to get this figured out so I can turn the motor over. Even if someone has pictures of their cars, that would be great. Thanks a lot.

There should be only one THICK wire and one THIN wire.&nbsp The thick wire (black or black/white or black/yellow) is the main ground that goes to the solenoid.&nbsp The other thin (blue?) wire is the + trigger for the solenoid.&nbsp The starter grounds to the engine block, so there's no real ground wires.

Someone get this guy a beer. You have helped me throughout all of my questions. Thank you, I will look at it tomorrow.

Actually, I didn't find any blue wires. I have a bunch of connectors that were just cut off(one whole connector total) and there is two larger guage wires that are down there, a black one and a black with yellow stripe one. Should that blue wire be in that mess of a wiring harness? Tell me where it starts and maybe I can start from there. Thanks for listening to my rants.

I had just learned how to read the wiring diagram and it all makes sense now, all the connections, all the colors and such. Thanks a lot. So is this a universal wiring harness?
