Not Stock....

derek1987 09-15-03 11:08 AM

What color is this.

jthompson02 09-15-03 11:15 AM

It loks to me like a darker version of the blue that comes stock on FC's.

Be careful there! Stripping paint down to bare metal is a sure way to get instantanious rust! If I were you, I'd at least leave the primer on there.......... but that's just me.

I am stripping it to bare metal and using a degeaser that cleans the metal well. Then priming it Immediately.

Rotary Racer 09-15-03 12:46 PM

If you are sanding to bare metal I suggest using a vara/etching primer for the first coat of primer. Etching primer sticks better to bare metal than (for example) your standard gray poly or water based primer does.

Just kidding, it looks nice, let us know if you do figure it out.

Looks like Royal Blue. Check the Acura section and honda they have blue colors like that in the paint manual

It's been a while but if memory serves, it's enamel and was approx. $25-30 quart and $10 for the activator.

me likey the wing, and not its not midnight blue, I would have to go w/ royal blue also. I have midnight metallic blue, and that color is not even close.
