what can cause wet sparkplugs ??
 

my friend who has been toying on rotaries for around 12 years has found a problem lately on a car, and he cant really put the finger on the main problem.

he built an FC and swapped a rebuilted and streetported T2 in, the car ran great but kept having wet sparkplug. so he tought he might have made a mistake in the rebuilt/sp process. so he re-checks it and re-rebuilts it. car did it again.
so he asked me if he could take one of my engines. i told him to go ahead. well it happened again but on my engine that time. so he changed almost everything from the injectors to the complete T2 wiring from the headlights to the taillights.
and it keeps doing it ..... he's starting to go crazy. the car is already bought by a client, who doesnt care about waiting for him to find the problem aslong as he gets the car at the end.

so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well I would say that you just have leaky injectors, either send them off to be cleaned and flow checked or buy new injectors. It sounds like you've already tried that though.

coils possibly not creating spark to burn the fuel?

did u check the injectors and the ignition system?

Wet with what? Water? Fuel? Oil? For starters, you're supposed to replace the soft seals EVERY rebuild, oil seals replaced probably at least the first time (if these rebuilds are one right after the other), and it might be good to have the injectors cleaned or replaced.

So, if water, the coolant seals (soft seals) should probably be replaced. If fuel, the injectors are probably to blame. If oil, the oil seals could be to blame. I'm not as certain about if they're wet with oil... Is he using dino oil or synthetic?

Anyway, I hope that's helpful. He should also measure the parts to make sure they're in spec per FSM because being off could cause problems, now and later.

ok, well ... i just spoke with him.....
and well, by rewiring the entire car to a original turbo2, changing all hoses,injectors,fuel rails,coils,sparkplug wires,fuel filter,fix all leaks, ..... my old engine works perfectly, the client wants it instead of his streetported engine.... so i now own his streetported engine....
great boost for me, im looking for another good chassis !!!
