What are the best plugs to buy (NA)?

Which are the best plugs for an '86 NA? Where can I get them?

NGKs are the best ones now I guess, thats what everyone buys unless your cymfc3s and import the original ones from japan, lol :D

Oh ya you can get them like everywhere. Umm..prolly order them from your local parts store even or go to rx7.com maybe or where ever. They are not uncommon.

dont order them from RX7.com. They charge 7.50 per spark plug plus shipping for a $4.50 plug. Check all your local auto parts stores someones bound to have them. You need 2 BUR7EQ's and 2 BUR9EQ's hope this helps

K, I got the plugs....

I found the NGKs locally. I was about to pull my old ones to do the ATF treatment but I don't have a socket to fit the plugs! What size socket is it? Should I just squeeze my hand in there with a wrench?

Also, I don't know how long ago the car had an oil change. Is Mobile 10W30 ok for it (it's what I've got on hand). Should I change the oil before the ATF treatment or after I soak it? I was going to change, then soak, then drive for a bit and change in about 1000 miles.

Thanks, guys.

from what i remember you should change the oil right after the ATF treatment is out of the engine and taken for a spin. i think some of the ATF gets in the oil...

13/16ths plug socket will work.

Change the plugs after the ATF trick. You will foul your new ones!!!

You live in AZ and its pretty warm where you live(I believe you guys have mountains where it would be colder)? If its a warm climate just go for 20w50, 10w30 is used for colder weather climates. If it gets pretty cold during the winter you might wanna use 10w30 for that time of the year & change back when it warms up.
